About: The Italian Choral Programme
The Addamus: Italian Choral Programme is a unique and innovative choral course for aspiring professional singers, offering world-class training from our internationally renowned faculty.
Across ten full days, participants work with acclaimed guest conductors and professional vocal leaders, gaining a real insight into the life of a touring musician. You will take part in several public performances across multiple cities—including concerts, masses, and special appearances—whilst rehearsing exciting repertoire, performing solos, and attending both masterclasses and individual lessons. You will strengthen your ensemble skills, vocal technique, pronunciation, and stylistic awareness, with further opportunities to explore choral direction. Previous courses have featured performances at the Vatican, the Pantheon, Milan Cathedral, Florence Cathedral, and many more.
You will develop skills in ensemble musicianship, vocal production, pronunciation, and historically informed performance, along with opportunities for choral direction.

Beyond the music, you will immerse yourself in Italy’s rich culture through landmark tours, museum visits, and hands-on activities such as pasta-making and wine-tasting. Expect unforgettable moments and friendships that will last well beyond the course.

What is the typical daily schedule?
Each day of the programme differs. Some days are designated singing rest days, allowing cultural immersion through museum visits. Other days are rehearsal and masterclass-focused, leading to an afternoon or early evening performance. Each day ends with dinner together.
When do you travel to different cities?
We aim to travel in the mornings.
Where will I be staying?
City-centre accommodation is provided in beautiful cities throughout Italy, ensuring a fully immersive experience.
What meals are included?
Breakfast and 12 evening meals are included. Participants are responsible for lunch arrangements.
What is the course language?
English. Though there will be ample opportunities to practise your Italian.
Will the music be sent in advance, and will there be any resources to aid learning?
Each applicant will receive learning resources before the course for individual study, allowing them to maximise the experience.

Sightseeing: Entry to iconic sites, including the Colosseum, Forum, Vatican Museum, Pantheon and more.

Evening Activities: Engage in fun events like a cheese and wine night and a pasta-making class.

Who should apply?
Singers of all nationalities aged 18-30 who desire to learn and grow are welcome. The programme is ideal for aspiring professional singers, university/choral scholarship applicants, and music/history enthusiasts.
What are the application requirements?
Submit a CV/bio, personal statement, and reference contact information.
Provide two audio recordings (an accompanied piece and an unaccompanied folk song or hymn).
When is the application deadline?
March 30th 2026 (late applications are not accepted).
Is financial aid available?
Yes, students can apply for additional scholarships and bursaries upon acceptance to ensure financial restrictions do not hinder their participation. These additional financial aids are designed to support students who may need extra assistance to cover the program costs. We encourage all eligible students to apply for these opportunities.

What is the total programme cost?
Cost - $2500: tuition, faculty costs, travel within Italy, meals, accommodation, cultural activities, and museum passes.
What is the payment schedule?
We doffer a flexible payment plan to enable each participant to budget and spread the cost of the programme's payments after the initial Non-refundable deposit upon acceptance.
What is not included?
Airfare, daily lunch arrangements and any souvenirs.

Do I need to arrange my travel to Italy?
Yes, you are responsible for booking your own flights to Italy.
